The Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics
Leave No Trace is an educational nonprofit dedicated to the responsible enjoyment and active stewardship of the outdoors by all people, worldwide. While most conservation organizations work to repair environmental impacts or protect lands by limiting access to them, Leave No Trace’s solution to land conservation is to provide education that empowers people to enjoy the outdoors responsibly. By focusing on people and the choices they make about outdoor recreation, Leave No Trace plays a vital role in the conservation community.

Wilderness.net is a website formed in 1996 through a collaborative partnership between the College of Forestry and Conservation's Wilderness Institute at The University of Montana, the Arthur Carhart National Wilderness Training Center and the Aldo Leopold Wilderness Research Institute.

Wilderness.net educates approximately 150,000 visitors each month about wilderness and the value of public lands preservation. The site houses the only officially-recognized, national, comprehensive, inter-agency database of information about all Bureau of Land Management, Fish and Wildlife Service, Forest Service and National Park Service wilderness areas. Wilderness.net works directly with agency wilderness management staff to provide other important information, such as regulations, trip planning tips and contact information. In addition to learning about specific wilderness areas, visitors can also access educational information on wilderness history, important and influential personalities, the values and benefits of wilderness, threats to wilderness and much more. Through a variety of online libraries, Wilderness.net also provides access to imagery, quotes, blogs, multimedia, wilderness legislation, agency policies, reports and MOUs, and scientific literature and research.

Pacific Biodiversity Institute (PBI) conducts scientific research in the fields of ecology, conservation biology and natural resource management. PBI's activities are focused on the conservation of biodiversity and maintenance of ecological integrity in the Pacific region. PBI develops advanced analytical tools and methods that aid the conservation of biodiversity and provide access to these tools, as well as research and consultative services, to public agencies, educational institutions and other non-profit conservation organizations. PBI provides scientific and technical information for use in the public review of public land management policies. PBI engages in a variety of educational activities including: the production of publications related to conservation and natural resource management issues, the organization of scientific conferences and public symposia, the development of educational materials and community level environmental education. Map resources include:

+ A map of ALL the roadless areas and wildlands over 1000 acres on the major federal ownerships across the entire country. + More detailed maps of ALL the roadless areas and wildlands over 1000 acres on all ownerships in some selected states. + Google Earth overlays of the roadless/wild lands for some selected western states - so that people can explore their favorite wildness areas (or potential wilderness) using the power of Google Earth.

National Council of Churches Eco-Justice Program office works in cooperation with the NCC Eco-Justice Working Group to provide an opportunity for the national bodies of member Protestant and Orthodox denominations to work together to protect and restore God's Creation. The National Council of Churches also participates in the National Religious Partnership for the Environment, an organization comprised of the U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops, the Evangelical Environmental Network and the Coalition on the Environment and Jewish Life.
