About the Filmakers

Chelsea Congdon is producer of Forever Wild: Celebrating America’s Wilderness. She co-produced and directed Subdivide and Conquer: A Modern Western, a one-hour television documentary on the impacts of growth in the Rocky Mountain West.

Chelsea was a consultant on the 4-part PBS series, Cadillac Desert. She was producer and writer for First Light Film’s half-hour PBS show, Lines in Space – the Art of James Surls and The High Elk Corridor and Westcliffe Ranches for the Trust for Public Lands. She wrote Viva La Chub, a look at endangered species research in the Grand Canyon for National Geographic Television.

In 1994 James Brundige directed and edited the ESPN series Action Zone. For the PBS Series NOVA, he was editor and associate producer of Taller than Everest. Other post-production credits include Odyssey: The Art of Photography at National Geographic (PBS), Antarctica: A Presence on the Ice (PBS), and EVEREST: The Mystery of Mallory and Irvine (BBC). He shot Himalayan sections of Frontline: Dreams of Tibet (PBS Frontline), Karakoram for the ABC/ESPN series Expedition Earth, The Rocky Mountain Adventure Games for CBS Sports, and BBC's Mystery of the Brahmaputra.

He teamed with internationally acclaimed director David Breashears on six projects, including The Nameless Tower (ESPN), Classic Adventures (BBC), Secrets of the Inca Mummy (National Geographic), and the feature Sky Burial, shot on Mount Everest. Other credits include the series The Native Americans for TBS, Dateline for NBC, 20/20 for ABC, Wildlife Adventures for TNT, and Ice Mummies: Frozen in Heaven for BBC.

He worked on Avalanche! for National Geographic Television, Antarctica: Secrets from the Ice for PBS Nova, and A Voice for our Rivers for the Roaring Fork Conservancy. James directed Florida’s Coral Treasure for Miranda Productions, where he was also post-production supervisor on Wilderness, The Last Stand, and My Father's Garden (Sundance).

Steven Allredge

Steven Alldredge is a writer, screenwriter and media consultant. In 2006 and 2007, Steve won Colorado Press Awards for his work as an editor/reporter with the Snowmass Sun weekly newspaper. In addition to his journalism and magazine writing work, Steve has written and developed a number of dramatic screenplays. Time/Warner purchased, produced and distributed Steve’s family adventure story about a baby panda as The Amazing Panda Adventure and he received a writing credit.

In Los Angeles, Steve served as the executive vice president of Sterling Films in Los Angeles, raising production monies and developing two independent features. He is also the writer and associate producer of the independent feature Dance which was distributed by Overseas Film Group and AIP.

At Paramount Pictures he was involved in the acquisition, script development, and production of Flight of the Intruder, Fat Man and Little Boy, Let It Ride, The Hunt for Red October, Days of Thunder, and Talent for the Game. In addition to his professional employment, Steven Alldredge has served as the President of the Board of Directors of Aspen Filmfest and currently serves on the board of Grassroots Asia.
